Paint with light with our Prism Dots Watercolor Paint Set! This curated "taster" set is a perfect introduction to our vibrant, handcrafted interference watercolor paints, making it an ideal gift for aspiring artists or a delightful treat for yourself.
 
Our prism paints take in light and bounces it around in between the layers of paint until just one color from the visible light spectrum is bounced back out for us to view. Without light, these paints don't have any color that we can see on it's own. With prism colors you are painting with the colors of light.
 
 Colors are shown best on black backgrounds. For best results use with black watercolor paper or black watercolor ground.
 
Each of the five colors in this set contains 4 generous dots of our hand-mulled paint, equaling approximately 0.25g per color. The dots are mounted on three separate cards using glue dots for easy removal, and are enclosed in protective penny sleeves.
 
This set goes beyond just paint. It also includes six sheets of high-quality Black Stonehenge Aqua Coldpress watercolor paper in the Artist Trading Card (ATC) size, perfect for creating beautiful, pocket-sized masterpieces. A quick-start guide is included to help you get painting right away.
 
Just like our half-pan sets, these paints are made with a unique, artisanal binder and cosmetic-grade synthetic interference pigments, offering a safe, non-toxic palette of light based colors.
 
Please remember to store them in a cool, dry place, as the honey in the binder can attract bugs. We recommend a test patch before using the paints on skin. Paints should not be used around sensitive areas.
